Her birthplace is Minsk which is located in Belarus. Sergey Her father (who passed away in 2019) was an ice hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born 5 May 1998 in Minsk Belarus. Her twelve WTA singles titles include the Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. The doubles play she plays is superb She has won majors in her first major tournaments, the US Open (2019) and Australian Open (2021), both of which were together with Elise Mertens. She also achieved her Sunshine Double in 2019, winning in the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. Only four women's pairs have achieved this feat. In the month of January, 2023, she reached her highest ranking in singles. On the 23rd of August 2021, she rose into the top two spot of World rankings. However, in doubles she climbed to number one after her victory in Melbourne that same year. Dmitry Tursunov coached her between 2018 and 2019, and also in the beginning of 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann in August until September 2020. Antonio Dubrov has been her coach since the year 2020. Serena Williams is her role model, being followed by Maria Sharapova.
